Watersports Lessons

Whether you’re brand new to watersports or looking to dial in your skills for the next competition, Mid Atlantic Watersports (MAWS) has you covered!  We offer wakeboard, wakesurf, and waterski lessons for all skill levels on our boat as well as your own boat.  We can also provide watersports equipment necessary to enjoy your lesson experience.  
 

MAWS premium watersports coach is Shop Pro, Jimmy McClure. Jimmy rode professionally and spent 4 years in Orlando, Florida coaching Wakeboarding, Surfing, and Waterskiing at The Boarding School. He got to learn coaching techniques from one of the top watersports schools in the world and is excited to bring that knowledge to Lake Anna! Jimmy will first get a background on experience level, then he will curate a personal lesson experience so you can have fun and safe ride out on the water. 
 

To book a lesson, call our shop (540-893-6111 x 4) and specify when you are interested in taking a lesson and we will check with the availability of our coaches and call you back to confirm the lesson date, time, and details.  

For the most enjoyable lesson experience, we strongly recommend scheduling lessons during the week.  We will not book lessons on holiday weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day) to ensure the safety of all participants.  

Lessons on your boat will be hosted out of our watersports Pro Shop (200 Boardwalk Way, Mineral VA 23117). Lessons on our boat will be hosted out of Pleasants Landing Marina (349 Pleasants Landing Rd, Bumpass 23024). 

Rates 

• Wakeboard/Surf Coach + Our Boat: $200/hour 

• Wakeboard/Surf/Ski Coach, Your Boat: $125/hour
